Options in the absence of a true interest free bank account
I want to open a bank account. Most banks would most willingly not add interest to my account if I requested for it. However, they would still charge people, whom they lend money, interest on the sum I deposit in the bank. Can you tell me of a bank that offers an interest free account (in the true sense).
Answer
No, I am afraid I can’t tell you of a bank that gives you interest-free returns on deposits. There are some that claim to be doing so, but I don’t find myself convinced that what they are claiming is true. There are, therefore, only two options left with you: either you open a current account in one of the banks and forget about the interest your bank earns from your money or else if you get interest from your deposit, give it to someone who deserves help without expecting any reward for it.
